We will be staying in the Aspen Brook Lodge that has a total of 47 rooms. Each room will sleep up to 6 people (two double beds, one set of bunk beds, and a full bath).

Lunch and dinner will be catered (the YMCA food is not the greatest). We will be doing a buffet breakfast in the conference center (just up the hill behind the Aspen Brook Lodge). Coffee will be available before the meeting starts and refreshments will be available at the first break for those not willing to brave the cold or get up in time.

Friday afternoon is a free afternoon and no meal will be catered that evening. You may purchase a meal in the YMCA dining facility, but groups usually form to go into Winter Park for dinner. Winter Park is small, but it does have a number of good places to eat.

Check-in will start around 3pm on Wednesday. If you arrive early, you may go to the Lodge, but it will be around 3pm before Martha Polson will be there with the keys. After 3pm, there will be a folder in lobby with your room assignment and key in it. If you arrive between 6pm and around 8:30 we will be at dinner . See folder and map for location. You may either wait in the lodge or come join us. If you arrive after 10pm, your folder with the key will still be in the lobby, Martha will be in bed.

What to Wear

Workshop dress is casual. It's a good idea to dress in layers. Even when it's very cold outside, the meeting rooms can be quite warm. Don't forget to bring warm clothes for playing in the snow!

Phone & Internet

There are telephones in each room at the lodge, but rates are similar to those charged at hotels. Cellular signals are limited, and even if your carrier provides service in the area, it can be spotty at Snow Mountain Ranch.

Internet access is available in the Main Administration Building. Wireless access is free, or you can use the YMCA's computers for a small fee. If you choose to dial in to your ISP from your room, be aware that you will probably get a slow connection speed, and you will be responsible for any phone charges.

Child Care

There is a childcare center for children 3 years old and up. A very limited amount of babysitting is available for younger children. Contact Snow Mountain Ranch directly for more information.
