The HCIC Annual Conference schedule is designed to allow opportunities for recreation. A shortened schedule on Tuesday allows for a full afternoon of fun. You are "on your own" for dinner on Tuesday--participants usually go in groups to one of the many restaurants in the area.
Visit the Aquarium

Ranger-guided tours invite you to discover the natural and cultural history of Asilomar. Come wander among the historic buildings nestled in the Monterey pine and coast live oak forest. Stroll along the boardwalk through the tranquil Dune Natural Preserve. Or explore the rocky coastline teaming with life. Complimentary one hour tours can be scheduled by calling the California State Park office at (831) 646-6443.
Kayaking is available at Adventures by the Sea. You can kayak through the kelp forests and see otters and harbor seals in their natural environment. Daily tours and rentals are offered and both novice and advanced paddlers are welcome.
Stroll in Carmel-by-the-Sea
Famous for its movie stars, shopping and art, Carmel-by-the-Sea is a gorgeous place to spend a day. In Carmel-by-the-Sea you will experience a little of everything; A city in the forest, a one mile long pure white sandy beach, performing and visual arts, superb dining and shopping.
