The HCIC Annual Conference schedule is designed to allow opportunities for recreation. A morning-only session on Tuesday allows for a free afternoon and evening. You’re "on your own" for Tuesday dinner--groups of participants usually attend nearby restaurants.

Visit the Aquarium
Located on the site of a former sardine cannery on Cannery Row in Monterey, the Monterey Bay Aquarium holds 35,000 plants and animals representing over 600 species. For more information, visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium web site.
Kayaking is available at Adventures by the Sea. You can kayak through the kelp forests and see otters and harbor seals in their natural environment. Daily tours and rentals are offered and both novice and advanced paddlers are welcome.

The Monterey Peninsula area is full of indoor and outdoor activities, including deep sea fishing, golfing, horseback riding, movie tours, scuba diving, whale watching, and wine tasting.
