Reimbursement Policies

HCIC Funded Students

Students are encouraged to arrange travel through the Christopherson Travel Agency, and will therefore not need any reimbursement (as all lodging and meals covered by HCIC are already provided). We have two specific contacts handing all student travel for HCIC, please email or call them as your schedule permits to arrange flights:

If you prefer to arrange your own travel and be reimbursed (up to the cost of round-trip economy domestic airfare, three-week advance purchase), you may do so but must notify and get confirmation of this travel choice by Laura Connor BEFORE any purchase is made. Purchases not pre-approved may not be reimbursable.

You may also drive your own vehicle or rent a car to Pajaro Dunes from your home but must notify and get confirmation of this travel choice by Laura Connor. Travel not pre-approved may not be reimbursable.

Paying students should consult with the faculty member that invited them for more details on their university's reimbursement policies.

Reimbursement forms will be provided upon request. These need to be submitted with original receipts to Laura Connor (hcicmail@umn.edu) by the last day of the conference or mailed within 2 weeks after the conference ends to:
